RateMyTraining checks active alerts automatically. Hourly alerts are checked each hour; Daily and Weekly alerts are checked at their selected interval. Only new matching items are emailed, and each item is recorded so the same match is not repeatedly sent. You can pause an alert or change its frequency at any time.
